So, I don't really enjoy cleaning, it's not my favorite thing in the world to do! I always gear up for Spring cleaning and then only get a part done. However, I LOVE to clean my house, top to bottom in the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving! I'm such a holiday girl and I LOVE any excuse to enjoy the holidays. I did this last year, and it was great. I started the 2 weeks before the full week of Thanksgiving and I cleaned my whole house-top to bottom. I decluttered each of the kids' rooms, I scrubbed and cleaned and sorted and threw lots and lots away! Then I enjoyed the whole week of Thanksgiving with crafts and food and family! And after Thanksgiving was done, I had a perfectly clean house to then decorate for and enjoy Christmas!
I'm starting again, today! Who's in? I will post a project every day. I will mostly post what I'm doing, so feel free to adapt to your situation. I have 6 bedrooms and a 3 story house, so my list might get a bit long! Every morning I'll post the project and every evening I will post a photo of what I accomplished! It will be great to watch the progress and we can all encourage each other on!
I realize that not everyone reading this celebrates Thanksgiving or Christmas, so feel free to use anything that seems useful and discard the rest!!
Monday-November 8th-Sam's new bedroom
Today I'm starting in the bedrooms. We are moving a couple of kids around, so this is the perfect time to do it. I have already pulled everything out of the closets, drawers, under the bed, the shelves, etc. It's all in one big pile for me to sort through. This is how I deep clean-probably sounds crazy, but it works for me! After I have sorted everything into the right boxes, I will clean the walls, the floor, etc. I plan to wash the window and the blinds. Then I will put back the few things that get to go in there. Off to work, and I'll be back tonight to post a picture!
