This morning I got on Brownie Scraps to look at all the new releases and noticed that Wendy had released some new cards. My mom is a card-a-holic. She is constantly writing notes and sending cards to people at church through the happy and not so happy times in their lives. So I decided that she would love a set of cards made with Wendy's templates.

The tall narrow ones are made with Wendy's new release, Cards Volume 2, and the shorter fat ones are from her Cards Volume 1.

I'm going to tie these together with some ribbon and include the envelope from Wendy's template so they are ready to go whenever the moment arises! What a great way to stretch your scrapbook kits and make a very useful item for the card giver in your family!

Snow is Glistening was very popular for cards also! Here are a few that the te

am came up with:

New Release

I can't believe that tomorrow is wednesday!  I swear the weeks just fly by so fast!  I didn't get my cleaning project done, but that's okay.  I worked a little leeway into my 2 week plan, so I will just get it done tomorrow!

Sam ran away at school today, for the first time that he was gone for awhile.  They are so good with him and can usually grab him when he tries to run, but this time, he got away from them.  It all worked out okay and they found him about a block away.  The funny thing was that when they found him, most of his clothes were gone. He's famous for this, so I didn't worry that anything inappropriate had happened.  They ended up finding his clothes and shoes on the top floor of a neighboring business office.  He had peed in them and discarded them.  They figure he must have been looking for a bathroom!  Quite the adventure though, the office personnel that found his clothing, but not child had called the police before the whole situation was worked out.  What a day!

Before I post today's freebie, I want to show off my new kit, just released a few minutes ago! It will be 25% off through tomorrow, so grab it quick!  Discount will show up at the time you purchase it.

And here are a few layouts from my team, with the kit!

If you like what you see, click HERE to buy it.  The sale may technically not begin until after midnight, so check back if it doesn't give the discount at checkout!

Now for the freebie!

Sooooo Excited for Turkey Time!!!

Okay, I'll admit it, one of my very favorite holidays is Thanksgiving. This poor little holiday, sandwiched between the ghosts and goblins of Halloween and the commercial craziness of Christmas, is easily overlooked!  I have always loved this holiday though, and not just because the food is so heavenly it is making my mouth water!  I love it for the time with family!  I love getting together with everyone, chatting, preparing food while the men either go out shooting or sit and watch the football game!  I love how stuffed you feel and everyone commiserates together as you all talk about the upcoming pie fest!  There just isn't anything quite like it.  Last year, we traveled six hours to spend the day with my family.  We were all there, and it was wonderful.  We had lost my amazing cousin, just 2 months previous, and we all felt her absence so much.  Her husband and son were able to join us for the day, but it just wasn't quite the same without Ronda.  This year, I will be hosting Thanksgiving at my house while all of Mr. Pests family gathers and I'm just as excited about that!

I love this picture of me and my sisters and sister in law and our mom, last year.  My youngest sister, Lynette sewed this darling aprons for all of us!  Even though we will be miles apart this year, I will be wearing mine and thinking of them!

Don't we all look cute!  (I'm the one 4th from the left, if you couldn't tell!)

In honor of this holiday, I created a kit, focused on the First Thanksgiving.  It's called "Give Thanks" and will have so many uses! I plan to print out the felt pieces, cut them out and use them as napkin rings. I also plan on making place cards out of them!  I may even create a wreath or other fun decorations.  The ideas are endless!

This kit will be 25% off for the first week, making it only $3.75 so snag it quick! You can click HERE to grab it!

Also, I have some super fun things coming to my blog starting November 1st, be sure to check in to see what the fun is about. I'll give a hint....daily freebie...okay, that was a pretty big hint, so you better be sure and come!!!

Oh, and I almost forgot...Leave a comment here about your favorite Thanksgiving memory (if you are in the US) or your favorite anytime holiday memory (if not in the US). I will come back on Saturday night to choose a winner of the kit!

Hearts Full of Thanks

One of my favorite things about this time of year is focusing on all that I'm grateful for.  I've learned that gratitude is most beneficial when you think you feel it the least.  You know those moments when everything in the world seems to be going wrong?  That is when you need gratitude the most.  Are you ever really upset with someone, a spouse, a child, a sibling?  Stop for a moment and think of all the things about them you are grateful for and that anger will disappear!  It's a powerful tool!

So, to celebrate that, I have created this kit!  I hope you will enjoy it and scrap with it often! Here are just 5 things that I'm very, very, very, very grateful for, even if one of them has his fingers up his nose!  My oldest was gone to scout camp, but here are my other 5 children and they are my whole life!

And here are a few layouts from my Pests (to see more, just click on the preview above and see all the many gorgeous layouts showcased with the product!)

Also, I want to give one of these kits away!!  So, if you would like the chance to win this kit, then leave a comment below of something you are grateful for!  I'll come back Saturday night and choose a winner!  Feel free to spread the word and let me know you did, for more chance at winning!

Everyday Madness!!!!

So, is it just me or does everyone have weeks that are full of craziness?  Sometimes I feel like my whole life is crazy and pure madness! I wouldn't change any of it, but it does add for some exciting times!  This past week was one of those for me!

First of all, Mr. Pest was out of town for 4 full days.  I always hate these long weeks because he is such a help to me that when he is gone, I really feel it!  Plus, he is my best friend, so it is just lonely!  For some reason, it is when he is 6 hours away that things seem to fall apart.  A few months ago, the basement flooded because of a backed up toilet (probably caused by Sam flushing yet another unknown object down the toilet).  Water was gushing, everything was soaked, etc.  We had to pack up and sleep at my inlaws until Roto-Rooter could come and unclog everything.  This week was just as exciting!

We had a mistake happen with our insurance. Because we are still insured in Nevada, the info didn't make it to the database in Utah and even though we asked our agent to send the info, somehow the ball got dropped. I don't know whose mistake it was, but what I do know is that in a pouring rain storm, I got pulled over by the local officer telling me my plates had been revoked!  There I was with all 6 kids in tow, contemplating the joy of walking home while the impounded my only vehicle.  I frantically called Mr. Pest who quickly called our agent.  It didn't matter what proof we had that everything was in order, they were going to tow my van.  They were nice enough to let me drive home first (while TWO cars followed-lights flashing through the neighborhood). How nice of them!

Fortunately, Mr. Pest got on the phone with the supervisor and at least spared the towing part (just as the tow truck showed up) and I promised to keep it parked in the driveway until I could get things squared away with the DMV.  The next morning, I even woke to a flat tire!  My conspiracy theory side of my brain wanted to believe the officer had slashed it so I couldn't drive it, but I think it was more likely I ran over a nail when I pulled off the road! Oh, and to add to it, the officer accidentally took my driver's license with her!  She was nice and returned it to me last night!

So, this is just an example of how sometimes, life can be made up of lots of madness!  Other times, life can be full of fun and joy.  No matter what the moment, it is the everyday moments we live for and should be scrapping!  It's the little moments we want to remember years and years from now.  This past week, in the middle of it all, I certainly wasn't laughing, but I'm sure even a month from now I will!  Isn't this just how it is with life!

My new release this week is dedicated to those little moments!  It's a grab bag that has lots and lots of goodies!  These are all for personal use only, but they are very neutral so they can be scrapped with any kit!  I am posting the reveal here, so you get to see what is hidden away in my bag!  Everyone else has to guess and hope it's good!  The product inside is worth $13.00, but I will be selling it for only $5.00 during the next week!  Let me say that again, it will ONLY be on sale for 1 week, then the products will be sold individually!!!

Here is what I made for you!

You can grab it HERE

And here are the goodies inside:

So, isn't this a great deal?  All 7 of these packs for only $5.00!  This week only, so snag it quick!

Spookville and other ramblings

I know my post is late, but it was such a busy and fun day yesterday!  Don't you just love those days?  You have so much fun, you can hardly stand it, but the day just flies right on by!!

Yesterday was Sam's first field trip with his school and I didn't want to miss out.  He is going to a private school that focuses on developmental delays, such as autism. He is on the spectrum, but he also has xxyy syndrome and severe apraxia (speech delay).  This school is AMAZING and I feel blessed every day that we found them!

So yesterday, it was a trip up the canyon with his class. He has 5 other boys in his class, and I just love each of these sweet children!  One of the greatest things I've found, since having a special needs child, is how absolutely wonderful and charming children are with special needs-particularly autism. I can't quite describe the love I feel for children with this condition!

Here are a few pictures from our adventures yesterday!  This is Sam with Miss Stephani, she is the director over the education and treatments for the children and one of the most amazing women I've ever met!  She is truly an angel on earth!  Her whole life is dedicated to these children and the love and passion with which she does her job and loves these little ones is inspiring!  Sam adores her!
And here is a picture of where we went!  We walked up to these Falls, aren't they so beautiful?
And last, here is a picture of my littlest guy, Noah! Isn't he a doll? I love him to pieces!

And now for my new release! I wanted to do a Halloween kit, this year, that was more cutsie than scary!  What do you think? Did I succeed?  In any event, I had a ton of fun with it!

And here are a few amazing layouts from my team:

I hope you enjoy this kit!  Click HERE to pick it up in my store.  It is on sale for only $3.75 through Thursday of next week!
